Eden garden workshop

In the occasion of the Agriculture Festival in Bressanvido from September 23-30th 2018, LIFE Risorgive project organizes a workshop to be held on Saturday September 29th at 11.00 am, dedicated to the use of local flora species for the cultivation of large or small gardens . During the meeting, the benefits of using native species will be discussed and. Afterwards, plots of land will be created with native species, to show each private garden can make a contribution to the conservation of the botanical biodiversity of our territory.

26 September LIFE Risorgive Project convention and presentation of school-work alternation project video

During the Agriculture Festival in Bressanvido from 23rd to 30th September 2018, the LIFE Risorgive project will organize a conference on Wednesday, September 26th at 8.30pm to talk about the activities carried out and those that are due to begin. It will be a moment of comparison on the interventions that the Municipality is carrying out for the development of resurgences, also thanks to the Life Risorgive project. The project partners will present the works performed and those that are due to be carried out. The students of the Liceo Scientifico Quadri di Vicenza and the Istituto Parrario Parolini in Bassano took part in a school-work alternation project realized in Bressanvido during 2018. Many meetings, workshops and conferences are scheduled in Bressanvido (VI) from September 23rd to 30th at the Agriculture Festival. This year’s theme is AGRICULTURE AND BIODIVERSITY, this combination will be explored during the many events providing insights to understand how important it is to conserve biodiversity both wild (the wild life around us) and cultivated. The LIFE Risorgive project will be present in five different events (conferences, visits and workshops) organized by the project partners that will promote the work done in the project, and discuss the importance of the original natural environments (lowland forests, wetlands, natural grasslands) and the conservation of anthropogenic environments built over centuries of land transformation like resurgences. Networking: LIFE RISORGIVE will participate at Italian Conference on River Requalification from 22 to 26 October in Bologna

CIRF (Centro italiano riqualificazione fluviale), Regione Emilia-Romagna and Consorzio di Bonifica dell’Emilia Centrale, organize the River Requalification week from 22 to 26 october 2018, as part of the networking activities of the project LIFE RINASCE (LIFE13 ENV/IT/000169). The Congress shall promote comparison about river requalification and during the meeting some significant experiences about improvement of the ecological status of watercourses will be shown; planning and management of sustainability of water basins will also be discussed at the conference. As part of the networking action with LIFE RINASCE and LIFE RII projects, representatives of the LIFE RISORGIVE project will participate to the Congress to discuss the principles of river requalification in Italy and share technical information.

LIFE RISORGIVE school-work alternation project has just started!

June 12th 2018, was launched the school-work alternation project (ASL) organized by the Municipality of Bressanvido (coordinator of LIFE RISORGIVE project) with the participation of 22 students from two local High Schools “G.B. Quadri” (n.20 studentis ) and “Parolini” (n.2 students). A 45-hour course will take place during June and August 2018; students involved will collaborate in the creation of dissemination materials useful to promote the project to the general public. On the first day, June 12th from 9.30 to 12.30 am (3 hours), took place a plenary meeting at Consorzio di Bonifica Brenta, including the preliminary project presentation and activities planning. In the afternoon, the students divided into groups worked on the cartography of the territory, mapping, organization of practical activities, definition of objectives. The students from Parolini, participated in the work group presenting the results of digital remote sensing obtained by means of the drone.

June 13th 2018 students met in Bressanvido and started with on site sampling (supported by the technicians of Aquaprogram Srl) and stakeholders’ interviewing. Among these, Alessandro Mocellin – President of Latterie Vicentine (co-financing partner of LIFE RISORGIVE project) , Stefano Salviati from Aquaprogram Srl – project partner and Salvatore Abbate from Municipality of Bressanvido – project coordinator.
